Steven A. Timms

Steven Allen "Steve" Timms, 65, of Lake City, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Steve was born in Lake City and lived all of his life there. He was a 1976 graduate of Lake City High School and was of the Baptist faith. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, vegetable gardening and keeping a manicured yard. He thoroughly enjoyed grilling and hosting fish fries with his family and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Marcene Cobb Timms, and by a sister, Diane Timms Crews.

Survivors include a son, Tyler Timms of Lake City;

a daughter and her husband, Tiffany and Kelby Drennan of Fayetteville;

a brother and his wife, Steve and Becky Bowden of Bryant;

4 sisters and their husbands: Renee Timms, Tammy Davis and Beth Adams and husband Steve, all of Lake City, and Janet Mayland and husband Mickey of Conway; and

2 grandchildren, Parker Drennan and Sawyer Drennan.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Lake City Cemetery with Rev. Rick Davis officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  A visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lake City will precede the graveside service.

Active pallbearers include Kurt Vaughn, Dustin Davis, Jake Emery, Tucker Emery, Ethan Hurst and Levi Reed.  Honorary pallbearers include Bryan White, Donnie Owens, Gino Spurlock, Dennis Cobb, Stevie Despain, Ronald Gipson, Denny Elder, Josh Baker, Tony Jones, and the employees of Lake City Nutrien.

The family wishes to extend grateful appreciation and Thanks to the staff at St. Bernards Medical Center for the compassionate care given to Steve. Thank You all.
