Jonesboro

Steven Franklin Reeves, 39, of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, surrounded by those who loved him.

Steven was born April 11, 1986, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He built a successful career with Bosch, where he served as Service Parts Planning and Logistics Manager. A lifelong learner and proud Red Wolf, Steven attended Advance, Missouri Elementary School, graduated from Poplar Bluff High School, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arkansas State University. He was a member of the Catholic faith, attended the Newman Center, and remained actively involved as a member of the Arkansas State University Alumni Association.

Athletics played a significant role in Steven’s life. He played football throughout high school and continued at Arkansas State University as a free safety. His love of sports carried into adulthood, where he enjoyed watching football, attending Arkansas State football and basketball games, and passing his passion on to the next generation. Steven devoted countless hours to coaching his son’s baseball teams, serving as a coach for Brookland Peewee Football from fourth through sixth grade. He was also an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in fishing, especially trout fishing, often traveling wherever the fish were biting.

Above all else, Steven treasured time spent with his family. Whether cheering from the sidelines, traveling, or simply being together, his family was the center of his world.

Steven was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Katherine Reeves, and his maternal grandparents, Howard and Leona Tropf.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Lindsey Reeves of the home; his parents, William and Diane “Tropf” Reeves of Puxico, Missouri; his son, William Steven Reeves of the home; his daughter, Nikki Hill of the home; his brother, Christopher Reeves (Sarah) of Brisbane, Australia; three sisters, Lisa Reeves of Evergreen, Colorado, Cathy Uhrhan of Louisville, Kentucky, and Alicia Cobb (Jason) of Louisville, Kentucky; his nieces and nephews, Austin and Alexis Uhrhan, Isaac and Ian Reeves, Everett and Stevie Cobb, Maggie and Harper King; his father- and mother-in-law, Gerald and Dana Shoemaker; and his sister-in-law, Whitney King (Dustin).
