Steven E. Billips

Steven Eugene Billips, 65, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

Steven was born in Rockford, Illinois, and lived several years there before moving to Corning and Florida and then settling in Jonesboro where he lived the last several years. Steven worked several years for Basler Electric in Corning before his retirement and was a member of Community Fellowship Church in Jonesboro.

Steven enjoyed watching various television shows including 48 Hours, Friday Night Smackdown and RAW.  While living in the Corning area he operated a commercial painting service and later became a small engine mechanic. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents: Arvin and Jean Billips and  Joe and Wanda Reed; 2 sisters: Karen Billips and Robin Fike; brother Rick Davis; and niece Magen Holt.

Survivors include 2 sons, Christopher Billips and Jeffrey Phen, both of Freeport, Illinois;

1 daughter, Samantha Conyers of Walnut Ridge;

1 sister, Crystal Young and husband Billy of Jonesboro;

4 brothers: Arvin R. Billips of Charlotte, Russ Davis of Walnut Ridge, Randy Davis of Pocahontas and Ray Davis of Dexter, Missouri; and

4 grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date.
