Steve W. Parnell

Steve W. Parnell, 63, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born to Bill Parnell and Jeane Hathcoat Coots on March 31, 1956 in Jonesboro. Steve attended Woods Chapel Baptist Church. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Parnell and brother, Dickie Ray Parnell.

Steve is survived by his mother, Jeane Hathcoat Coots; sons, Steven Ray Parnell of Lebanon, Missouri and Justin Wayne Parnell (Dara) of Jonesboro; daughter, Courtney Parnell of Jonesboro; step children, Kristy Spencer and Johnny Tackett; brothers, Yogi “Edward” Parnell (Diane) of Jonesboro and Mark Scarlet of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters, Betty Parnell of Jonesboro and Teresa Coots of Jonesboro. Steve also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Bryce, Alara, Tyler, Zachary, Morgan, Dylan, Baylie, Caden and Rylee and two great grandchildren; Ally and Kaelynn.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 2:30 pm at Caldwell Chapel Cemetery with Rick Hathcoat officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm at Emerson Funeral prior to the service.
