Steve W. Goodrich, 73, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at NEA Baptist Medical Center. He was born December 5, 1950 in Portageville, Missouri to the late Calvin and Lena Mae Goodrich. Stevie was raised in Jonesboro and was a 1968 graduate of JHS. After graduation he enlisted in the army. Stevie served over 20 years in the Army. He served 2 tours in Vietnam and after retiring he reenlisted and was an army and a nurse recruiter in the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Between his two enlistments in the Army, he was the proud owner and instructor at The Arkansas Academy of Hair Design beauty college. Stevie enjoyed yard work, grilling and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews and most recently his great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Stevie was preceded in death by his 2nd wife, Myra Sue Dunahm Goodrich; 1st wife, Huoi T. Goodrich; brother, Levon Goodrich and sister, Sue Mitchell.
Survivors include his son, Stephen M. Goodrich of Long Beach, Mississippi; 1 brother, Dewayne (Verna) Goodrich of Jonesboro; 3 sisters: Betty Hancock of St. Louis, Sandi (Danny) Brewer of Jonesboro, Kim Goodrich of Jonesboro, 2 grandsons, Joe Falgoust of New Orleans, Louisiana, Gavinn Goodrich of Long Beach, Mississippi; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
