Steve F. Zisk

Steve F. Zisk, 88, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, died Friday, December 01, 2006, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born in Boston Heights, Ohio and had lived in Cherokee Village for the past 28 years. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Cherokee Village and also a volunteer fireman.

He was a recipient of the Purple Heart during WWII where he served in the US Army in the 3rd Batallion, 3rd Division serving at Pearl Harbor and Normandy. He was a member of the VFW #4472, the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and the United Steel Workers of America.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, six siblings and a son-in-law.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Zisk of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Josephine Beatty of Jonesboro; Florence and Jack Kozub, Parma Ohio; Rose and John Skurla of Danville, Ohio. Also surviving are two brothers Stanley Zisk of Akron Ohio and Henry Zisk of Bedford Ohio and a son-in-law, Joe Beatty of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
