Steve Carl Cook

Stevey “Steve” Carl Cook, 71, of Bono departed this life on February 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Steve was born on September 11, 1952 to Joseph Leroy Cook and Lorene Sears in Jonesboro.

Steve attended Walcott Baptist Church and loved going to church. Some of his favorite pastimes were spending time outdoors whether that be hunting, fishing, or working on his yard. He also enjoyed going out to the river and diving with his brothers. Above all else, Steve enjoyed spending time with his family.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Roy Cook and Brad Cook, and 1 grandchild, William James Cook. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Judy Cook of the home. He is also survived by his son Shawn Cook and wife Christy of Jonesboro; a daughter, Lisa Thompson and husband Shannon of Jonesboro; 2 brothers, Gerald Cook and wife Cookie of Jonesboro and Danny Cook and wife Loretta of Jonesboro; 2 sisters, Linda Henry and husband Jim of Willford, Arkansas and Diane Freeman and husband Terry of Malvern, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, Kimberly Jordan, Joshua Jordan, Shawna Cook, Christina Cook, and Ella Grace Cook. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service Saturday March 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Shiloh Cemetery officiated by Nathan Gramling and Bro. Ben Derrick. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Danny Cook, Gerald Cook, Joshua Jordan, Ronnie Bounds, Buck Bounds, Ricky Bounds, Johnny Bounds, and Jim Eskridge. Ray Neal Bounds will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
