Steve W. Carnathan, 43, of Jonesboro passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Steve was born on July 31, 1973 to Kenneth and Brenda Layne Carnathan in Tupelo, MS. He was a member of the Valley View Class of 1991. He lived most of his life in the Jonesboro area, and attended Arkansas State University. He was employed through Post Consumer Brands Company in Jonesboro. He was an active member of Friendly Hope Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He was a very loving kind soul that loved to make others laugh. He loved the Lord and always looked for an opportunity to spread the word of God. He had several passions in life but his favorite was the time he spent with his family. His passion for the Lord and his family will be missed but never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by father, Kenneth Carnathan; two sons, Bennett Wade and Shiloh Layne Carnathan; brothers, Jessie Carnathan and Keith Bennett; sister, Deena Carol Carnathan; and all his grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Carnathan; four children, Abel , Harper, Maezie, and Johno Carnathan all of the home; mother and step father, Brenda and Murphy Bennett of Jonesboro; brothers, Tyler (Karen) Bennett of Russellville, Jason Carnathan of Tupelo, MS; three sister, Kendall (Tim) Morgan of Daphne, AL, April Bennett (Randy) of Jonesboro, and Amy (Shane) Gann of Tupelo, MS; father and mother in-laws, Hal and Becky Roper of Cabot and Ms. Mickey Roper of Cabot; sister-in-law, Holly (Jeff) Leonard of Monterey, TN; brother-in-law, Holden Roper of Cabot; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 10am on Wednesday with Bobby Barnett officiating. Interment will follow at Pierce cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
