Stephen William Hinson

Stephen Hinson, 64, of Jonesboro died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born February 4, 1952 in Jonesboro to Maxine and the late Billy Hinson. Stephen was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and he was very active in the church. Stephen retired from Riceland Foods after working there 27 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. Stephen would travel to Blanchard Springs Caverns and other places to use his medal detector often. Canoeing, kayaking and photography were things he enjoyed doing, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, Stephen is also survived by his sister, Connie (JR) Gore of Paragould; niece, Kristen (Brian) Mansfield of Poplar Bluff; nephew, Jimmy Gore of Jonesboro; great niece, Kinlee Mansfield of Poplar Bluff and many other friends and family.

Funeral service will be Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Parker officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
