Stacy Ryan Shelton, 55, of Jonesboro, left this earthly home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 1, 2018 at her home. Born in Jonesboro on November 27,1962, to the late Bob Ryan and Linda (Tootie) Qualls, she resided in the Valley View community most of her life.
Stacy graduated from Valley View High School in 1981 and later joined the staff there as the editor of the elementary yearbook, while working in the intermediate library. She received her Associates Degree from Arkansas State University.
Stacy was an active member of Grace Point Church of Christ and taught Bible classes there for a variety of ages. Her true love in this world was her family. She was a loving wife and daughter and a dedicated mother to her sons, who were her pride and joy. She cherished family gatherings and enjoyed laughter with good friends. She had an incredibly generous heart, was deeply loved, and will be greatly missed by many. In addition to her Daddy, she was preceded in death by her brother, Randall Ryan; her nephew, Noah Cook; and her grandparents Kenneth and Blanche Collins and Neva Gilbert.
Stacy is survived by her husband, Ron Shelton of Jonesboro; sons, Ryan (Jessica) Shelton of Jonesboro and Reid (Jenella) Shelton of Little Rock; her mother, Linda (Tootie) Qualls; stepfather, Jerry Qualls of Monette; her grandfather, Evans Ryan of Chaffee, MO.; one granddaughter, Lily Hufford; her special Aunts, Lita French, Rita French, Net Adams; and a host of devoted aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. In addition to family, three very special friends: Susan Beasley, Holly Robertson, and her lifelong friend. Tammy Caples.
A visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Emerson's Funeral Home in Jonesboro. The service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Grace Point Church of Christ, 1405 Old Bridger Road, Jonesboro, with David Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in McDaniel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Josh Cabe, Nick Mahan, Terry Smith, Lance Brown, Rick White, and Brooks Cravens. Honorary pallbearers will include the elders and deacons of Grace Point Church of Christ, Dr. Caroll Scroggin, and the Bunko girls.
For lasting memorials the family request that donations be made to the building fund at Grace Point Church of Christ.
