Pearl Lena Morath was born in Houston, Mississippi, to the late Michael and Dulice Morath. In 1944, while studying at Holy Angels Academy, she entered Holy Angels Convent. She spent many summers in the 1990s assisting in Pastoral Care at St. Bernards Medical Center. In 2005, Sister retired to the Motherhouse, where she served as a seamstress for the community and crocheted beautiful items for the gift shop.
In 2001, Sr. Pauline was named “Teacher of the Year” by the Pocahontas Walmart staff. She was listed in Who’s Who Among American Teachers in 2003 and 2005.
She is survived by her Sisters in community; two brothers, Samuel Morath and George Morath; one sister, Fran Stenger; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her siblings, Paul Morath, John Morath, Louise Morath, and Peggy Bader.
