Sophia Weston Muse

Sophia Muse, age 92, of Elk River, Minnesota, died Tuesday morning, April 11, 2006.

Mrs. Muse was born Sophia Weston Doty on August 22, 1913 to John H. and Martha Tice Doty in Prentiss County, Mississippi. She graduated high school in Bay, Arkansas. She was married to Leroy Muse October 2, 1932 in Lake City, Arkansas.

She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Baptist Church all of her life. She was a loving mother and devoted homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Leroy Muse; by a son: Lee Weston Muse; and by her parents, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and 1 great, great grandchild.

Survivors include:

1 Daughter: Polly Robbins of Elk River, Minnesota;

2 Sons: Joe Leah Muse of Sedgewickville, Missouri, and
Charles Burt Muse of Allen, Texas;

16 Grandchildren,
36 Great Grandchildren, and
33 Great, Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Felix Haag officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be members of Jonesboro Masonic Lodge #129.

Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home.
