Sister Elizabeth Love, O.S.B.

Sister Elizabeth Love, OSB, 69, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 4:00 a.m. in St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in McGehee, Arkansas on July 26, 1941 to William Murphy Love & Dorothy Hall Love.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Imy of Norman, Oklahoma and Debbie Buergler; one son, Matthew Thompson; one brother, Charles Love, all of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and one sister, Mary Ellen Fant of Tulsa, Oklahoma; plus several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She attended St. Boniface Elementary School and St. Ann’s High School in Fort Smith. After marriage and three children, she worked for 25 years in Credit and Finance in Little Rock. After becoming an Oblate of Holy Angels Convent, she entered Holy Angels Convent and was professed on March 20, 2004. On August 15, 2008, Sister Elizabeth made her Final Vows.

As a religious, Sister Elizabeth worked in the Business Office at St. Bernards and for the last five years was involved in religious education of children and DRE, Director of Religious Education, in Pocahontas. In July, 2007, she received a Certificate of Academic Achievement from the Little Rock Theology Institute.

Visitation and Rosary will be held Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Holy Angels Convent Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday morning, May 9, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Angels Convent Chapel with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus of Blessed Sacrament Parish.
