Shirley Rachel Pruitt

Shirley Rachel Pruitt, 66, of Jonesboro, died Friday morning at Ridgecrest Health & Rehab. She was born in Jonesboro and had lived here her entire life and was a member of Nettleton United Methodist Church. She was a retired cafeteria worker from ASU who loved reading, going to the library, coin collecting, watching television, and especially buying jewelry from QVC.

Ms. Pruitt is survived by her sisters, Teresa Marie Hardman, Acworth, GA, Marion Eloise Holland, Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Eunice Rodgers Pruitt.

Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at Nettleton Cemetery. Brother Harmon Whitehurst will officiate and Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held Monday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
