Shirley Painter-Waller, 64, of Excelscior Springs, Missouri, went to heaven on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Missouri.
Born in Newport, Shirley lived most of her life in Jonesboro before moving to Excelscior Springs earlier this year. She was of the Pentecostal belief and strongly believed in the Lord. She had many health problems and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paxston Painter and Nelly Irene Ushury,
and John Slatton, Jr. who raised her.
Shirley is survived by daughters, Debbie Coy Stapleton (Mike) of Excelsior Springs, and Sheila Coy of Kansas City, Ks. Two sisters, Doris Slater of Williford, and Wanda Shelton (Harold) of Columbus, Mo. One brother, Larry Painter of Yakama, Washington. Five Grandchildren, Shanna Pulley Wooldridge (Cody), Brandon Jones, Heather Ricketts of Thayer, Mo, Thomas Ricketts II of Thayer, Mo, and Kate McClure of Excelsior Springs. Four great grandchildren, Kayden Pulley, Austin Wooldridge, Steven Jones and Braydon Jones.
Services will be private at Finch Cemetery on Friday October 2, 2009, at 3:00 p.m.
