Shirley Lee Moss

Shirley Lee Moss, 85, of Jonesboro, formerly of Paragould, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.

Shirley was born on October 19, 1929, in Paragould to Frank and Mattie (Houston) Lee. She graduated from Paragould High School and worked briefly at First National Bank. She married Robert Moss in 1959, and spent her life devoted to their daughter, Marian Peeler, and the First United Methodist Church of Paragould.

Shirley moved to St. Bernards Village in Jonesboro shortly after George died in 2000, and enjoyed her years with "The Girls" there until moving to Jonesboro Health Care Center in 2011. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Florence White and Jackie Mason Wilder.

In addition to her daughter, survivors include son-in-law Andy Peeler of Jonesboro, grandsons Eric Peeler of Little Rock and Logan Peeler of New Orleans, nephew Michael Baldwin of Desert Hot Springs, California, and numerous Moss Family nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Paragould. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Her body has been donated to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Memorials may be made to the church, the Craighead County Community Foundation's Stop Hunger fund, the NEA Humane Society, St. Bernards Rainwater Memory Care Center, NEA Baptist Fowler Family Center for Cancer Care or the charity of the donor's choice.
