Shirley Chambers

Shirley Chambers, 74, of Brookland, died November 1, 2012 at her home. She was born in Jonesboro and moved to Little Rock in 1963. She had lived in Brookland since 2004. Shirley enjoyed yard work, sewing, and quilting. She was of the Pentecostal belief.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Don Chambers of the home; sons, Clay Chambers, Jonesboro, Chris (Kristy) Chambers, Abilene, TX; daughter, Sandra (Jon) Silvey, McRae; brothers, Larry Mills, Brookland, Eddie Mills, Jonesboro; sisters, Dorothy Cummings, Walnut Ridge, Carolyn Neely, Jonesboro; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Sadie Belk Mills; a sister, Jean Griffin; and a brother, Scotty Mills.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Pastor Darrell Runyan officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2012 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
