Shirley Mae Acebo, age 72 of Jonesboro, died at her residence Thursday morning. Born in Elvins, Missouri, she lived in Arnold, Missouri before moving to Jonesboro in 1977. Shirley worked with her husband Sam, as owner/operators of LensMasters. She loved working in her yard tending to her roses; loved baking, and playing with the grandchildren She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Elvis and Mabel Collier Briley.
Shirley is survived by Sam, her loving husband of 50 years; son, Rusty (Holly) Acebo of Jonesboro; 2 daughters, Timi (Reg) Saffell and Tonya Schaaf both of Jonesboro; 2 brothers , Jim Briley and Rick Briley 2 sisters, Gladys Dearinger and Judy Chambers all from Washington State. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin (Jessi) Schaaf, Megan (Jimmy) Farley, Nicholas Schaaf, Hunter Saffell, Brock Acebo, Haven Saffell, Annika Acebo and Rykar Acebo
Funeral service will be Saturday September 15, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Worth Gibson officiating.
Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemtery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers include Justin Schaaf, Nicholas Schaaf, Hunter Saffell, Brock Acebo, Kevin Blest and Robin Bishop.
Visitation will be Friday, September 14, 2012 from 5 -7 PM in the chapel at Emerson Funeral Home.
