Shirlene Annette Furnish

Shirlene Furnish, 43, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at her home. Born in El Paso, Texas, she had lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She loved sewing and craft work. She enjoyed reading Christian fiction. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church. At Central, she was very active helping with the Allen Park Ministry and in the Harpole/Tinsley/Ring Life Group. She had many interests in her life but she especially loved her cats, Callie & Joey.

She is survived by her parents, Gary & Phyllis Furnish, Jonesboro; her brother, Gary Alan (Tena) Furnish, Rector; her sister, Melissa (Don) Ussery, Paragould; and her nephew, Logan Furnish.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Ferris and Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be Perry Greenway, Phillip Keeling, Tim Miller, Chris Rutherford, Bobby Abbot, and Randy Hunter. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Greenway.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2011 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
