Sherry Lynne Spiller, 60, of Paragould, formerly of Olive Branch, Mississippi, passed away on January 10, 2024 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on July 22, 1963 in Mattoon, Illinois to Glenn and Geraldine Spiller. Sherry called Olive Branch, Mississippi home for 22 years before recently moving to Paragould.
A fierce animal lover, Sherry loved all creatures, big and small. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and especially loved spending time at Pickwick Lake with her wife, Beverly. Sherry was also a fan of bowling. Above all else, Sherry loved her family – the family she was born into as well as the family that she married into and embraced her with loving arms.
Sherry was the glue that held the family together and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. She loved Christmas and holidays with her loved ones. Family get togethers brought her so much joy and held a special place in her heart. Sherry also loved the little things in life: watching the sunset, sharing a joke with or giving her wife a hard time, getting out and doing things with people… She loved life and saw the beauty in every part of it.
In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Donnie Whitcomb and her treasured companions, Bear, Buttercup, and Little Bit.
Sherry is survived by her loving wife of 35 years, Beverly Bronc of Paragould; sisters, Patti (Bobby) Reyes of West Memphis and Glenda Whitcomb of Little Rock; nephews, James Taylor of West Memphis and Christopher Taylor of Troutman, North Carolina; niece, Summer Gomez of Collierville, Tennessee; nine great-nieces and nephews; five great-great-nieces and nephews; her extended family, brother-in-law, Alan (Sarah) Thomas of Paragould; nieces, Lauren (Matt) Baker of Lake City and Toni (Cody) Epps of Wynne; great-niece, Livvi Baker; many special aunts, uncles, and wonderful friends.
A memorial service will be held at Emerson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Higgins officiating. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society: 6111 East Highland Drive, Jonesboro, AR 72401 or Northeast Arkansas Humane Society
