Sherry Lynn Adkins

Sherry Lynn Adkins, 63, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on July 6, 2025. She was born on June 27, 1962, in Jonesboro to Charles and Delores Johnston.

A graduate of Brookland High School, Sherry moved to Tennessee shortly after graduation, eventually returning to her hometown in the early 2000s.

Sherry had a passion for gardening, crafting, and NASCAR. She was a devoted animal lover, especially fond of her two dogs, Teddy and Freddie. Known for her vibrant personality, Sherry was never shy about sharing her thoughts. She cherished holiday gatherings with family and maintained close bonds with her friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Michael Johnston.

Sherry is survived by her loving mother, Delores Johnston; her daughter, Brittney Adkins; her sister, Michele Crow of Jonesboro; her brother, Shane Johnston of Jonesboro; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NEA Humane Society.
