Shelba Mayhan

Shelba Mayhan, 75 of Jonesboro, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her home. She had lived most of her life in Jonesboro. Shelba was of the Baptist belief. She was a registered nurse and worked at St. Bernard’s and NEA Baptist hospitals. Shelba was preceded in death by her husband, Max Mayhan; daughter, Sheila Mayhan, parents, Earl and Sue Maxwell; brother, Howard Maxwell and her in-laws, Alfred and Retha Mayhan.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Natalie Lavander (David) of Bay; Matthew O’Neal (Jessica Pennington) of Fisher; great grandchildren, Mason Lavander and Kali O’Neal; brother, Bill Maxwell of Tupelo and Brenda Brewer of Columbus, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers and Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be private.
