Sheila Kay Woods

Sheila Kay Woods, 58, of Jonesboro, departed this life on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 8, 1966, in Paragould, Arkansas.

A faithful member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Sheila lived a life centered on her faith and family. She loved cooking, gardening, caring for her beloved husband Danny Woods and dog Misty, reading, and most of all, sharing cherished moments with her family, whom she could talk about endlessly.

Sheila is survived by her loving husband Danny Woods of 38 years, her soulmate and best friend; her son, Jason Woods (Lauren) of Georgia; two adoring grandchildren, Russell and Winston Woods, both of Georgia; and a lifetime of dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. officiated by Bro. Mike Corley. Sheila will be laid to rest at Pine Log Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Tim Woods, Harvey Griffin, Rick Woods, Michael Johnson, Larry Johnson,Toby Ward, and Randy Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes through her church at 5407 Stadium Blvd, Jonesboro, AR 72404, a cause close to Sheila's heart.

Sheila's warmth, kindness, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
