Sheila Ann Nix, 56, of Jonesboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Sheila was a native and life-long resident of Jonesboro. She was a 1980 graduate of Jonesboro High School and later graduated nursing school as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sheila worked over 25 years as a LPN in Jonesboro with the majority of her service with Clopton Clinic before becoming disabled five years ago.
Sheila was a member of Greensboro Church of Christ and thoroughly enjoyed being with her family, hosting and cooking for her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Stooksberry.
Survivors include her husband, Kevin Nix of the home;
Her mother, Melba Jones of Jonesboro;
6 sons: Chad Hall (Andrea Easley) and Scotty Hall (Bethany) all of Jonesboro, Daniel Nix (Stacy) of Bay, Joshua Nix of Pocahontas, Michael Nix (Ally) of Troy, Ohio, and Tim Nix (Bryanna) of Paragould;
1 daughter, Sarah Nix (Ronny Reed) of Jonesboro;
1 uncle, Larry Jones and
1 aunt, Rose Taylor, both of Jonesboro;
10 cousins: Wendell Taylor of Harrisburg, and Sherry Despain, Mitchell Despain, Robert Jones, Kim Hendrix (Heath), Terry Jones (Martha), Donna Mason (Dennis), Laura Bailey (Kevin) and Leah Bewley (David), all of Jonesboro, and Denise Kildow (Jeremy) of Mississippi; and
19 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Mark Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Herndon Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service from 1:30 p.m - 2:30 p.m. in the chapel.
Pallbearers include Chad Hall, Scotty Hall, Arthur Wallace, Jr., Tyler Robinson, Christopher Turner and Daniel Nix.
