Sheila Annette McCluskey, 53, of Lake City passed from this life Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at NEA Baptist Memorial hospital. Sheila was born May 22, 1961 to the late J.R. and Goldie Sims in Monette. She spent the last five years residing in Lake City before coming from Monette where she was of the Baptist belief. Sheila was a very talented seamstress who loved to sew. She also earned her secretarial degree and child development associate’s license. Sheila loved being around kids and she especially adored her grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Savannah Coker; one sister: Belinda Sims; and her grandparents.

Sheila is survived by her husband: Larry McCluskey of the home; two sons: Christopher Haley of Jonesboro and Zac (Marie) Haley of Lake City; two step-sons: Caleb (Meghan) McCluskey of Lake City and Canaan Smith of Springfield, Missouri; one step daughter: Amy (Casey) Springer of Jonesboro; three brothers: Paul (Francis) Lancaster of Leachville, Jackie Sims of Leachville, and Ronnie Sims of Bay; two sisters: Sandra Follett of Ripley, Mississippi and Joy Dulaney (Larry Martin) of Manila; and ten grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City with Brother Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Monette Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will include Curtis Henderson, Rick Formon, Jerry Sims, Roger Lenderman, Tommy Mann, David Neisler, Larry Martin and Todd Trapp. The Honorary pallbearers will be D.J Sims, Jermy Sims, Lee Nelson and Jerry Lindsey.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday, July 25, 2014 at Refuge General Baptist Church in Lake City.
