Shaw Bingham, 73, of Jonesboro, went Home to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born in Memphis, Shaw lived most of his life in Poinsett County before moving to Jonesboro last year. He was a 1960 graduate of Marked Tree High School and a 1963 graduate of Arkansas State University. Shaw served active duty in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966 and began a farming career following his discharge.
Shaw was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church where he was a member of the Ron Hatley Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.H. and Delma Shaw Bingham.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Bingham of the home;
1 daughter, Lesley Bingham of Little Rock;
1 sister and brother-in-law: Polly and Sam Fisher of Fayetteville; and
1 brother and sister-in-law: Bud and Millie Bingham of Trumann.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Glen Putman officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers include Sid Banks, Jason Vaughn, Jim Gillis, Gary Allen, Brian Schmidt and Noyl Houston. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Ron Hatley Sunday school class at Walnut Street Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday at Emerson Funeral Home.
