Sharon Kay Rainwater

Sharon Robinson Rainwater, 78, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, died Thursday morning, Feb. 29, at St. Elizabeth’s Place in Jonesboro.

Born to C.D. and Inez Robinson on April 18, 1945 in Jonesboro, she spent her life as a Jonesboro resident. Sharon graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1963.

On September 26, 1964 she married Danny “Tuffy” Rainwater. They welcomed their first child, Stacey, in 1965 and second child, Tim, in 1970.

Sharon was a co-owner of Rainwater Construction by profession, but perhaps her favorite job she ever had was being a grandmother and great-grandmother.

A devout Christian, Sharon was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay, Arkansas.

Preceded in death by her husband, Tuffy, and siblings Annette Wells and Ronnie Robinson, Sharon is survived by her children; Stacey Howard (husband Kenny) and Tim Rainwater (wife Holly); grandchildren Taylor Osment (wife Lindsay), Chase Gage (wife Shelly), Drake Rainwater, Cassidy Gage, Riley Rainwater (fiancée Haylee), and Grayson Rainwater; great-grandson Hughie Rainwater; and siblings Kenny Robinson, Connie Howard, Doug Robinson, and Rebecca McCracken.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m.  until 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 2nd at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
