Sharon Lynn Friend

Sharon Lynn Friend, 66, of rural Paragould, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

A native of Caraway, Sharon was a 1967 graduate of Caraway Central High School and operated Sharon's Beauty Shop in Caraway for many years. She moved to Greene County in 1982 and attended The Church at Paragould. Sharon enjoyed collecting antiques and keepsakes.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Betty Dees Pratt; her husband, James Friend; a daughter, Jamie Lynn Friend; a brother, Glen Pratt; 2 grandsons: James Keeling and Charles Thomas Friend; and a step son, Tim Friend.

Survivors include 1 son: Jerry (Michelle) Friend of Bono;
3 step daughters: Mary Friend and Lisa Hinton, both of Paragould, and Faye (Eli) Murzea of San Antonio, Texas;
3 step sons: David (Kay) Friend of Hardy, Earl Friend of Lyons, New York, and Eddie Friend of Paragould;
numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at The Church at Paragould, 210 N. Fourth Ave., with Pastor Chris Bass officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will follow the service.
