Sharon Gail Kearbey, 68, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Friday, July 21, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was born to Roy and Ada Hicks on January 29, 1949 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Sharon worked as an executive assistant at the General Baptist World Headquarters in Poplar Bluff. After moving to Jonesboro in 1982, she worked as an executive assistant at the YMCA for 30 years.

Sharon loved flowers and tending to her beautiful flower gardens, she was an avid reader and also loved Red Wolves Football. She was blessed with two wonderful children (Tony and Gina) and two beloved grandchildren (Anna and Alia).

Sharon is survived by her husband of 49 years, Al Kearbey of Jonesboro; son, Tony Kearbey (Natasha) of Pineville, Arkansas; daughter, Gina Jackson (James) of Jonesboro; sisters, Linda Stucker (Clifford), Shirley Simpson, Charlotte Ordway (Stanley) all of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Anna and Alia Kearbey of Pineville, Arkansas. Sharon also leaves behind many family, friends, and her two beloved dogs, Mozart and Missy.

The visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on July 26, 2017 at Emerson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Hillyer officiating. A graveside service will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
