Sharion Gail Rook

Mrs. Sharion Gail Rook of Jonesboro, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at NEA Baptist Hospital, at the age of 76. She was born August 21, 1945 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Baudie and Bethal Shempert.
Sharion was a member of the Tops Club here in Jonesboro. She has several hobbies including gardening, canning, quilting, cooking, and shopping. One of her favorite hobbies was always spoiling her grandbabies. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents Sharion is preceded in death by; one son, Larry Keith Rook; one grandson, Jordan Gatlin; three brothers, BJ Shempert, Bobby Shempert, Billy Pankey; three sisters, Inez Riley, Joy Ann Warren, and Juanita Rook.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Rook of the home; one son, Bryan Rook of Jonesboro; one daughter, Sherry Meadows (Lance) of Jonesboro; one sister, Jean Gentry of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Blake Gatlin, Brianna Wooldridge, Chase Meadows, Colby Rook, Jackson Rook, Gavin Rook; four great- grandchildren, Emison Gatlin, Braxton Gatlin, Austin Wooldridge, Bailey Wooldridge; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Friends may visit Emerson Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, February 16, 2022 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bryce King officiating. Active Pallbearers will include Lance Meadows, Chase Meadows, Blake Gatlin, Cody Wooldridge, John Feeherty, and Shannon Simimo. Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park.
