Sean Tyler Terrell, 28, of Lake City, Arkansas, began his life in Heaven on July 31, 2022. He passed while traveling home just outside of Jonesboro. Sean was born on April 12, 1994 in Jonesboro. Sean lived most of his life in Lake City, until he valiantly chose to serve his country in the USMC right out of high school. While dutifully serving his time, from 2012-2016, at Camp LeJeune, NC, he earned the title of LCPL, and was awarded the Marine Conducts Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Sean is and always will be a U.S. Marine and will be remembered as such. Sean was employed by Houlihan’s in Jonesboro in the public service industry where he loved serving and interacting with all his clients and his co-workers were like family.
Sean is survived by two beautiful children, Ellie Terrell and Wren Terrell. Sean is also survived by his parents, Steve and Cindy Terrell, and two supporting and loving brothers, Layne (Tiffany Burns) Terrell; Adam Terrell; a niece, Theodora Terrell, all of Lake City. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Buddy and Linda Carner of Lake City, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. And certainly not least, his beloved Shiba Inu, Basilone. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Marie Terrell.
Sean lived life to its absolute fullest. He loved his children with his whole being. He loved his family. He loved his friends (all thirty million of them) and took nothing in life for granted. He will be remembered for his compassion and love and serving others and being a grand encourager. His bright and colorful energy was infectious, his big, beautiful smile and laugh would light up a room. His fave moto was “Happiness is only real when shared” by Jack Kerouac and he lived by that mentality and shared it wherever he went. He had an unapologetic personality that just spoke volumes of his love for life and all people, so anyone who met him loved him immediately. You would mostly find him enjoying times with his children, reading, and playing video games, but later find him, in true Sean fashion, out and about screaming tunes at the top of his lungs, even if he didn’t know all the words. He was a lover of all music genres. And with that love of music produced his joy in writing, deep moving words that just flowed and would impact people and encourage them in their troubles. And then to escape the noise you would find him out in nature, in a forest, just soaking up the creation, finding some peace and rejuvenating.
His life will be celebrated on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Emerson Funeral Home Chapel, which is located at 1629 E. Nettleton Ave., Jonesboro, AR 72401. Visitation starts at 1:00pm and the celebration of his life service will begin at 2:00pm with Rick Davis and Jim Duffel officiating. Burial will be private. Pallbearers are Adam Terrell, John Cook, Chase Coleman, Alex Sexton, Joey Lapuma and Cody Hilderbran. Honorary pallbearers will be the Riverside High School Class of 2012.
For lasting memorials, please feel free to choose a charity of choice. Although we have been left with a huge hole in our hearts, the memories of him and his life story will remain to infinity and beyond in all the lives he touched. If you are a friend of Sean’s, he would desperately want you there to celebrate his life with his gigantic family.
