Scott McGowan, 57, lived all of his life in the Jonesboro/Bono area. He was born on June 22, 1969, to Clinton Troy and Paula McGowan. He was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church. He enjoyed many things in life from hunting, fishing, and visiting pawn shops to sitting with friends and drinking coffee. Scott was a very kind person and would do anything he could to help his fellow man. His funniness and quick wit made people always want to hang out and enjoy the fellowship. He worked on fixing firearms and reworking knives in his spare time. Spending time with his grandchildren was at the top of his priorities. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his daughter, Lexie McGowan-Velasquez and her husband Joseph of Bono; mother, Paula McGowan of Bono; grandsons, Kohen, Kaiden, and Kayson.
