Sarah Ann Murphy passed from this life on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 10, 1933 to Walter Basil Murphy and Lillian Hazel Murphy.
Sarah grew up on the family farm which was at that time was Early Dawn Peach Farm. She attended school at Herman Elementary and later graduated from Bono High School. She played basketball in her senior years for Bono High School. She loved to be surrounded by her family and friends, especially her great great grandbabies. Sarah’s favorite things to do were gardening, growing flowers, playing cards and fishing. Sarah was a manager for many restaurants in the Jonesboro area and retired from Jr Food in 1995 from the Bono Store.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Basil and Lillian Murphy; brother, Robert Murphy; and grandson, Joshua Cornelius.
She leaves behind two sisters, Lois Blevins and Berniece Evans; son, Cliff Feezor (Dian) of Jonesboro; daughters, Patricia Farmer of Jonesboro and Brenda Stevens (Rick) of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Priscilla Talley (Jeremy) of Jonesboro, Aaron Feezor (Katie) of Slidell, Louisiana, Erica West of Jonesboro, Allen Feezor of Jonesboro, Caleb Cornelius (Vanessa) of Cape Coral, Florida, and Ricky Stevens (Amber) of Lake City; great grandchildren, Savannah Thomas (Daniel) of Hawaii, Alexis Beavers (Colton) of Brookland, Carlie West of Jonesboro, Christian Feezor (Brianne) of Jonesboro, Chance Talley of Jonesboro, Joscelyn and Jaelin Cornelius of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Cheyenne Feezor of Pearl River, Louisiana, Evelyn Cornelius and Elijah Cornelius of Cape Coral, Florida, Kayleigh and Amelia Feezor of Slidell, Louisiana, Kaley Stevens of Lake City, and Chloie West Monette; Great great grandchildren, Laikyn, Leah, and Camden of Brookland and Theodore and Labria Thomas of Hawaii; Her two fur babies, Cash and Gibbs; special daughter, Kathy Anderson of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.
Burial will be private.
