Sarah Jean Hicks, 60, of Jonesboro, passed away on July 6, 2026, at NEA Baptist Hospital. She was born in Jonesboro on July 7, 1965, to the late James and Peggy Taylor. In addition to her parents, Sarah is preceded in death by her brother Russell Taylor and one sister, Darlene Fields

Sarah was born and raised in Northeast Arkansas, spending most of her life in Jonesboro. She lived modestly, finding joy in simple things like caring for the house and spending time with family. Family was important to her, and she was happiest with her husband, Gary. Sarah will be greatly missed by friends and loved ones alike.

Sarah is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary Hicks; her son, Ronnie Hicks; her daughter, Jennifer Hicks; three grandchildren, Aaron, James, and Angelina Hicks; one great-grandchild, Avery; her sister, Charlene Noe; her sister, Connie Taylor; and her mother-in-law, Dorothy Hicks.
