Sara M Shell

July 18, 1922 — February 10, 2006

Sara M. Shell, 83 of Jonesboro died Friday February 10, 2006 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Hooks, Texas Mrs. Shell lived most of her life in Jonesboro. Coming from Texas in 1950. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a longtime adult Sunday School Teacher, and also severed on several committees including the W.M.U.

She also served as a Pink Lady at St. Bernard’s. She was English and literature teacher at A.S.U... Also a member of the 20th Century Club and friends of the library board until 1999. She was an avid bridge player and education was a piroty in her life.

She was the widow of Federal Judge Terry Shell who died in 1978. And her parents preceded her in death also.

Survivors include;
2 Daughters; Suzanne (Larry) Churchill of Jonesboro
Jeannie (Stan) Evans of Memphis, Tenn.

1 Brother; Dean McCutcheon of Nashua, New Hampshire

2 Grandson’s; David Churchill, and Andrew Evans
1 Granddaughter; Sara Katherine Evans.

Memorial Service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday February 13, 2006 at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial was private

Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M until 5:00 P.M. at the Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
