Sara Cook

Sara Cook, 59, of Jonesboro passed from this life on June 8, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Blytheville on July 20, 1954 to the late Omer and Elizabeth Riggs. Sara was a woman who loved the outdoors and is described as a woman that was full of energy and a mother to all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 25 years: Joe Dell Cook, and her sister.

Sara is survived by her sons: Jerry Cook (April) and Terry Cook (Asha) of Jonesboro. Daughter: Hope cook of Jonesboro. Brother: Franklin D. Riggs (Nancy). Sister: Bettie Zablika (Ray). Grandchildren: Cody Cook(Jill),Tristian Cook, Lasha Cook Johnson, Jaden Cook, Hannah Cook, Olivia Cook, Jace Cook, and one great grandchild: Lexi Cook.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Edward Pruett officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in Charge. Burial will follow at Herndon Cemetery with Active Pallbearers being: Gary Needham, Travis Carr, Dennis West, Bryan Kirksey, Jon Jones, and Jason Emerson.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Stateroom at Emerson Funeral Home.
