Mrs. Sara Buckelew, loving wife and mother, departed this life to her heavenly home on Monday, August 24, 2020 at the age of 83 years. She was a devoted member of the Central Community Church. She had a kind and loving soul; she was recently recognized by the church for devoting her life to the church nursery and children’s ministry for 42 years.
She was born January 24, 1937 in Wardell, MO to Walton and Pauline Dixon.
She married Franklin Buckelew May 15 th , 1956. They recently celebrated their 64 th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed each other’s company and loved to travel and see new places, but they loved visiting family, and seeing their children and grandchildren the most.
She is survived by Franklin Buckelew of the home, Franklin Buckelew Jr (Denise) of Lexington, SC, Pam Wileman (Steve) of Bay, Sherry Seabaugh, of the home, and Jonathan Buckelew (Tammy) of Jonesboro. Grandchildren, Shannon Buckelew, Nina Buckelew, Travis Dixon, Meagan Dixon Jernigan, Lindsey Wileman Ashlock, Chelsey Wileman Barnett, Autumn Seabaugh, Malcom Buckelew, Mollye Buckelew, Tosha Copeland-Rouse. Great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Hunter Buckelew, Alexis Forbis Rautheaux, Cameron Forbis, Violet Jernigan, Carter, Aiden, and Delaney Ashlock, JoLeigh Barnett, Kason and Grayson Rouse. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, other family, church family, and friends left to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walton and Pauline Dixon, brother, Clovis Dixon, and a sister, Virginia Dixon. A daughter, Susan Lynn Coggin. Grandchildren, Kristopher John Coggin, and Rachel Suzanne Forbis.
She was a graduate of Arkansas State University with a degree in nursing. She spent many years at NEA Baptist Hospital until her retirement.

Honorary pallbearers, Carl Ray White, Claython Diggs, Steve Brooks, Keith Heckmann and the men of Central Community Church Sunday School Class. The family would like to express appreciation to Dr. Scott Dooroh, Dr. Trent Lamb, Dr. Adam Woodruff and all the caring staff at the NEA Cancer Center.
