Sandra Kay "Jackie" Harris Simmons

Sandra Kay “Jackie” Harris Simmons, 68, of Jonesboro, AR, entered into heavenly glory on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Jackie was born on February 28, 1952 to Leon and Alma Rhea Harris in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Jackie was a 1970 graduate of Jonesboro High School. Through the years, she worked at the Arkansas Services Center, Arkansas State University, World Color, EMI Pallets, Coldwater Creek and Chicos.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tommy Simmons; daughters, Jennifer Timmons (Wayne) and Kari Simmons; sister, Brenda Tubbs (Jim); and brother, James Harris. She was lovingly known as “MaMa” by her grandchildren, Ashley Smith (CJ), Justice, Ila Beth, Grey, Eden, Fuller, Ireland, Anson, Jack and Max.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Gail Harris.
Jackie’s faith in the Lord was the most important thing in her life. She was a prayer warrior and her love for Jesus was evident. She was a beautiful example of love, kindness and giving to others. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Her hope for all is that they come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.
A visitation to receive friends will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas. A celebration of life service honoring Jackie will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Funeral Home with Dr. Archie Mason officiating assisted by Eric Brown.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, AR 72202.
Pallbearers will be Landa Nichols, Zack Nichols, Joey Easter, Shane Timmons, Casey Pearce and Chad Beckwith.
