Sandra "Sandy" Calabrese

Sandra “Sandy” F. Calabrese age 52, of Jonesboro Arkansas, formally of Hammond , Indiana , entered into eternal peace on March 19, 2009 at her residence.

Sandy was born on November 21, 1956, in Hammond, and has resided in Jonesboro since 2004 with her sister, Linda (David) West. She has been lovingly cared for by her family and many other caregivers. Her niece Lizabeth (West) Knight was a special caretaker over the last several years, especially in her last days.

Sandy is survived by her father Sam Calabrese and four other siblings: Sam Calabrese of Sarasota , Florida , Tony (Melissa) Calabrese of Crown Point, Indiana, Julia (Mark) Snedden of Freeland, Michigan , and Cathy (Bob) Earl of Indianapolis, Indiana; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Anita Calabrese.

Sandy attended Abilities Unlimited of Jonesboro (WAC/AD). She also attended LCAR Bridges in Gary, Indiana for 27 years and was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Hammond , Indiana.

Sandy brought a smile to everyone who knew her. We will forever miss the joy and laughter that Sandy brought to our lives. She is surely dancing in Heaven.

The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 until noon at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro , Arkansas on Monday, March 23rd. Other services and burial will be private.
