Sandra Kay Boling Grimes

June 24, 1950 — June 28, 2006

Sandra Kay Boling Grimes, 56, of Brookland, passed away Wednesday, June 28, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was a life-long resident of Brookland and graduated from Brookland in 1968. She loved children and had worked at the Northeast Arkansas Comprehensive Learning Center for the past several years. She was of the Nazarene belief.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Gracie Lee Boling, two brothers, Herbert Boling, Jim Boling, and mother-in-law, Luvetta Grimes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, James Conley Grimes of the home, two daughters, Leah Whitted and husband William of Walnut Ridge, Sara Grimes and friend Jeremy Witcher of Paragould, two grandchildren, Jordan and Hayle Whitted of Pocahontas, three brothers, Harold Boling and wife Linda, Bill Boling and wife Mary Lou of Jonesboro, Robert Boling and wife Betty of Paragould, one sister, Charlene Williams of Temple, Texas, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Michael Winberry officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be William “Billy” Whitted, Jeremy Witcher, Jason Hunt, Anthony Hunt, Greg Osborne, and Mike Boling. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Foster, Paul Hunt, Don Foster, Jerrod Barker, and Donald Lawrence.

Lasting memorials can be made to the Diabetic Association and/or Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
