Sandra Kay Olive Justis, 66, of Jonesboro, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.
Sandy was born June 2, 1955, in Lepanto, Arkansas, to James and Marie Olive. She was raised in West Ridge and graduated valedictorian from Missco High School in 1973. Sandy was a retired postal worker.
Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family. Her sisters were her best friends. She loved being outside—working in her yard and spending time in the pool with her kids. Sandy’s children and grandchildren were the lights of her life.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Danny Olive of West Memphis, sisters Shirley McFarlin of Monette and Polly Hunsinger of Miramar, Florida, and sister-in-law Peggy Ingram Olive of West Memphis.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Justis of the home; two daughters, Susan Lewis and Miranda McIntire of Jonesboro; one son, Garrett (Lindsey) Justis of Jonesboro; and two step-sons, Cannon Justis and Paul (Shawna) Justis of Oklahoma; ten grandchildren: Jillian Lewis, Keaton Justis, Zane Justis, Gage Grady, Lydia Samples, Aly Monteniszs, Kaden Ortego, William McIntire, Oliver McIntire, and Collin Justis. She is also survived by five sisters: Linda Warren of Osceola, Brenda Robins and Phyllis Turnbow of Leachville, Sheila Olive of Jonesboro, and Lisa Laden of Lepanto. In addition, she leaves behind a host of other family members (nieces, nephews, and cousins).
Visitation services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home, 1629 E. Nettleton Avenue, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401.
