Sandra Kay Headrick, 69, of Mary Esther, Florida departed this life on August 15, 2024, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Born on February 9, 1955, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Bill Barber and Mary Nadine Garison.
Sandra was a proud graduate of Arkansas State University, where she completed her undergraduate degree in 1992. She furthered her education by earning a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas. Sandra dedicated her career to Arkansas State University before relocating to Mary Esther, Florida. Passionate about her work, she served in numerous Human Resources and Management positions and concluded her magnificent career as Vice President of Human Recourses, Trustmark Bank. As an animal lover, Sandra loved her Yorkies, ducks, and watching the deer and birds every day. She had a passion for the beach watching the waves.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother, Ruby Adams; her sisters, Susan Diane Cionteas and Deidra Barber Lowery; her brother, Scotty Barber; and one grandson, Jackson Riley Bollier.
Sandra is survived by her two sons, Dennis "Denny" Blankenship and Christopher "Chris" Michael Blankenship (Kelly); her daughter, Twilla Renee Blankenship; her three brothers, Andrew "Andy" Barber, Randy Barber, and Bobby Barber; her sister, Vicki Tosh Beck; and her beloved grandchildren, Taylor Dewayne Pierce, Cody Ryan Bollier, Garrett Alexander Blankenship, Faith Ashlyn Blankenship Winborn, Kassandra Diane Blankenship, Zachary “Zach” Michael Blankenship, and Marissa Katelynn Blankenship.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, from 5-7 PM at Emerson Funeral Home. A service in her honor will take place on Tuesday, August 20, at Emerson Funeral Home starting at 10 AM with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating, and burial following at Strawfloor Cemetery. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Colby Huffmaster, Andy Barber, Randy Barber, Cody Bollier, Taylor Pierce, and Jesse Barber.
Sandra's warmth, love for her family, and unwavering dedication to her work and passions will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
