Sandra Barnett

Sandra (Hart) Barnett,76, of Mims, Florida passed away in her home on November 29, 2018. She was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and resided in Jonesboro, Arkansas for most of her adult life. She was crowned Miss Walnut Ridge in 1962 and was a contestant in the Miss Arkansas Pageant. Sandra, along with her late husband, was a retired business owner of C&F Distinctive Home Furnishings and Luvs Uniform. She was also a member of First Christian Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Barnett, Jr.; father, Bennett Hart and mother, Fern Hart. She is survived by a son, Jeff and daughter in law Dana Barnett of Orlando, Florida; daughter, Debbie and son in law Will Papich of Decatur, Alabama and daughter, Cheri and son in law Robert of Mims, Florida; sister, Kay Dudley of Bentonville, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, JJ Barnett, Tyler Barnett, Hillary Papich, Mallory Papich, Matthew Papich, Angela Tims, Frederick “Tripp” Holt, III, Jonathan Wood, Wesley Wood, and Treavor Elliott Sandra also leaves behind seven great grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way.

A celebration of her life will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Emerson Funeral Home from 6 – 8 pm. Graveside services at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery will be Friday December 7, 2018 at 10:00 am with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro, Arkansas in charge of arrangements.

Honorary pallbearers will be JJ Barnett, Tyler Barnett, Matthew Papich, Tripp Holt, Jonathan Wood, Wesley Wood, Treavor Elliott, Chris Dudley, Mark King, Greg Dudley, and the members of the First Christian Church Choir.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests considering a lasting memorial to First Christian Church of Jonesboro, Arkansas, The Health Well Foundation, or The American Cancer Society.
