Samuel Jay Cottingham

Samuel Jay Cottingham, 49, of Hardy, formerly of Dyess, passed away at his home on Friday, July 1, 2011. Sam was a loving and devoted husband, dad, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and dear friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gene Cottingham of Dyess.

He leaves behind his wife of 22 years, Angie Cottingham of the home; two daughters, Keionia Smith and family of Tyronza and Tina Birdwell and family of Blytheville; his mother, Norma Cottingham of Dyess; sisters, Faye Scott and family of Paragould and Bonnie Gonzales and family of Dyess; brothers, Bobby Cottingham and family and Daniel Cottingham of Dyess, and Billy Cottingham of Martin, Tennessee. He also leaves behind 5 wonderful grandkids.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home.
