Sammie Charlene Shelton

Sammie Charlene Shelton, 80, of Marked Tree, died Monday evening at Craighead County Nursing Center where she had resided briefly.

Born in Risco, Missouri, Mrs. Shelton moved to McCormick in 1958 and then to Marked Tree in 1963. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Marked Tree.

Survivors include:

1 Son and his wife: Johnny Mac and Debbie Shelton of Trumann;

2 Daughters and their husbands: Annesa and Jimmy Thompson of Marked Tree, and
Beth and Larry Wray of Payneway;

8 Grandchildren, and
5 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jim Shaw officiating, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

There will be no visitation.
