Sammie A. (Davison) Mcquay

Sammie A. (Davison) McQuay, 79, of Jonesboro died Tuesday April 26, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in West Memphis but lived in Jonesboro her lifetime. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nettleton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Verlene Garrett Davison, sister, Evelyn Oswald, four brothers, Paul Davison, George “Little Boy” Davison, Albert “Big Boy” Davison, Don Davison and grandson, Mark McCain.

Survived by her four sons, Larry Brown (Janet) of Asher, Oklahoma, James Earl McQuay (Judy) of Brookland, Robert L. McQuay (Tina) of Evans, Georgia and Justin McQuay of Jonesboro.

Five daughters, Barbara Pace and Shelby McCain both of Jonesboro, Jodi Miller (Denny) of Jacksonville, Florida, Shelia McQuay of Fort Smith and Jamie Lynn McClung (Alan) of Trumann.

Two sisters, Ruthie Statler of Taft, California and Eula May Pierce of Jonesboro.

24 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 7 great- great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday April 29, at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers will be Henry Lee Oswald, Ricky Oswald, Boyce Hart, Mike Cope, Paul Davison and Steven Davis.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M. Thursday April 28, at Emerson Funeral Home.
