Samantha Danielle Walley

Samantha Danielle Walley, 41, of Paragould, passed away on April 14, 2024, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born in Paragould on April 19, 1982, to Billie Byes and Bill Pyle. Her father, Bill Pyle, preceded her in death.

Sam, a woman of many talents and a heart full of love, grew up in Corning but moved to Jonesboro for college in 2000. A few years after moving to Jonesboro, she married her best friend, Deric Walley. Sam's commitment to her work and family was unparalleled.

She began her career with Social Security in September 2006 as a Customer Service Representative in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She served the Agency with distinction throughout her career and held several positions, including Claims Specialist, Technical Expert, Public Affairs Specialist, Operations Supervisor, and, most recently, District Manager of the Blytheville Social Security office. Sam was decorated with many awards throughout her career, including the Regional Commissioner Citation and the Regional Anti-Fraud Award. Sam was endeared and respected by her coworkers in Northeast Arkansas and throughout the Dallas region.

She was a sweet, kind, humble, and beautiful person. Sam's smile could light up a room. In her downtime, she loved reading and cooking. Sam ensured her family always had breakfast and dinner and could put large novels away in a matter of days. Sam would regularly volunteer and help out at Greensboro Road Church of Christ. Most importantly, Sam loved being with her family. Her boys, Max, Deric, and Bruno, mattered most to her.

Sam is survived by her husband of 20 years, Deric Walley; son, Max Walley; mother, Billie Byes (Lee) of Current View, MO; brother, Trent Pyle (Hannah) of Current View, MO; Aunt She-She of Current View, MO; her beloved pet Bruno; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 20, 2024, at Greensboro Road Church of Christ. A visitation will precede the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
