Sam Rosse

June 26, 1935 — April 22, 2012

Sam Rosse, 76, of Jonesboro, formerly of Trumann, died April 22, 2012 at his home. He was born in Bay Village and had lived in the Jonesboro and Trumann area all of his life. He was the owner of Home Ice & Cold Storage and formerly owned Sam’s refrigeration in Trumann. He had worked in the refrigeration business for 45 years. He was a very hard worker who, in his younger years enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He will be missed by his children, Donny Rosse, Sammy Rosse and his wife, Karen, all of Jonesboro, Charlie Rosse, Memphis, Debbie Curtwright and her husband, Ken, Jonesboro; his twin brother, O.E. Rosse, Trumann; 11 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Lorenda “Gypsy” Gardner, Trumann.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Teresa Camp Rosse; his parents, Samuel & Lora Peace Rosse; and his sister, Edith.

A celebration of his life will be Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 10:00 am at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Emerson Funeral is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers will be his sons, grandsons, and son-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Daniel, John Beird, Buddy Summers, Donald LaFarlette, Dr. Stephen Modelevsky, Little Charlie Rosse, and employees of Home Ice & Storage.

Visitation will be Wednesday 5 -7 pm at the funeral home.
