The celebration of Sam Cooper begins on Saturday February 11, 2017.
There are a lot of characters that will make up this festive occasion: Sam’s mother and her husband, Shannon and Joe Webb, and Sam’s nephew, Kye Matthew. Other supporting characters include Glenda Leach, Ola Mae Leach, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins all of which contributed to this life celebration and who helped Sam play the starring role. But wait, there’s more!
Also making appearances are Sam’s father and his wife, Paul Samuel and Rita Marie Cooper, and Sam’s sister, Kristen Elizabeth Cooper, in addition to their extended families of aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to list.
The supporting role in this production goes to Sam’s loving wife, Elizabeth Sales Cooper. She is surrounded by her parents, Hugh and Elizabeth Sales, and her sister, Catherine Sales. Sam and Elizabeth’s furry four-legged children include Indie, Juneau, and Hagrid.
Sam’s academic experiences included Jonesboro High School, Ole Miss (Cum Laude in Forensic Chemistry), and Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine with an invitation to join the National Osteopathic Honor Society, Sigma Sigma Phi.
Pallbearers supporting Samuel Cooper include: Will Guyton, Mason Wellborn, Laden Conley, Carson Rutledge, Philip Cole, Brooks Leach, Hugh Sales, and Paul Cooper.
Greeting Sam at the Gates of Heaven will be David Brooks Leach, L.D. “Sam” Cooper, and Noel Cooper.
The formal memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, located at 801 Main St., Jonesboro with the visitation at 12:30 with the memorial to follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro.
It has been requested to send donations to the Sam Cooper scholarship fund located at stbernardsfoundation.org in lieu of flowers.
