Ruthie Mae Wade, 72, died Saturday at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years and 3 days, Nelvan Wade; two sons, Nelvan Wade of Jacksonville, Illinois and Carroll Wade of Jonesboro; one daughter, Carrie Kinman of Jonesboro; three sisters, Ruby Payne of Jonesboro, Mildred Cunningham of Jonesboro, and Willie Lee of Omaha, Nebraska; ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Carrie (Newberry) Owens and one brother, Richard Owens.
She was of the Pentecostal belief.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dub Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughter: Mitchell, Marty, and Colby Kinman; Andy and Aaron Wade; and Nick and Amy Raney.
Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
